Team ASRT successfully started new season by rally Aluksne, team started rally with two crews – Sergey Popovs/Andrey Galkevics were driving new Skoda Fabia R5, and Dmitriy Feofanovs/Dmitriy Cumaks got start with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.  Remarking that Feofanovs will get new co-draiver  who joined the test drives straight from the Dakar rally. 

Before rally Aluksne team ASRT had done massive tests participated by Feofanovs also Sergey Popovs, they were testing new Skoda Fabia R5. Rally went very smoothly, because all crews reached the Finish without any techical problem. Popovs’ crew gained 9th place ( it’s sportsman’s highest atchieved result at rally Aluksne), but Feofanovs won 4th place at LRC in class 2.

“Firstly, want to congratulate everyone with new rally season’s beginning. For team ASRT this was successful rally, because both crews finished with non techical problem, that’s why I want to say big Thanks to mechanicians for their great work,” says team ASRT leader Arturs Igavens. 

“Sergey experienced this rally as a training before Russian Rally Championship’s first stage at rally Karelia, what starts in this weekend. For Sportman at Aluksne was important to get know new car and it’s capability, so that could help at Russian rally to get higher place. Sportman’s aim this year is fighting for the highest places at Russian rally.”

Have to add that there is not clear both sportmans’ plans for this year, but known that Popovs planned to get part in Russian Championship. And known that Petrs Turkins is planning to drive with team in separated rallies.
